Day 1:
Sun. NEW YORK CITY. Welcome to “The Big Apple”! Enjoy time at leisure; your Tour Director can answer any questions. Day 2: Mon. NEW YORK CITY–PHILADELPHIA. This morning, drive to Philadelphia, where sightseeing focuses on the historic significance of the city. Major attractions to see on your own include Independence National Historic Park with 25 free historical sites, including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and Franklin Court. Day 3: Tue. PHILADELPHIA. Known as the birthplace of American democracy, Philadelphia has a rich history, and spectacular sights and attractions. Take your pick from the more than 80 merchants at Reading Terminal Market, an authentic farmers’ market in the heart of Center City. Afterward, explore the historic homes and buildings located in the historic district. Day 4: Wed. PHILADELPHIA–NEW YORK CITY. On today’s sightseeing tour, see major attractions, including Broadway, the Empire State Building, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, City Hall, Wall Street, and Trinity Church. This evening, choose from many fine restaurants or enjoy a Broadway show. Day 5: Thu. NEW YORK CITY. Immerse yourself in New York and see why it’s like no other city on earth. There are plenty of neighborhoods to explore and restaurants to try. Or perhaps another Broadway show or museum is in order. Board the Statue of Liberty ferry and visit the Statue of Liberty National Monument. During the ride, learn fascinating facts and be treated to stunning views of Lady Liberty. Shop in Manhattan and take a stroll down 57th Street and Fifth Avenue. Also, visit Central Park, situated directly across from Carnegie Hall in midtown and blocks from Times Square, the Theater District, and Rockefeller Center. Day 6: Fri. NEW YORK CITY. New York has it all, from Broadway shows to museums, shopping, and great restaurants. Spend two additional nights and experience it all. Day 7: Sat. NEW YORK CITY. During your free time in Manhattan, take advantage of the most popular sights: Times Square, Greenwich Village, Wall Street, and Chinatown. Optional activities include a helicopter flight over the “city that never sleeps” or a Manhattan harbor cruise. Day 8: Sun. NEW YORK CITY. The vacation ends today with guests departing on individual schedules. Airport transfers are provided to Kennedy International, LaGuardia, and Newark airports.
